Scouting Uniforms
Josens is authorised to retail the scouting uniforms which are manufactured under licence from the scouting association. We supply uniforms for the Rainbows, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Brownies and Guides.
Rainbows range from 5 - 7 years. Rainbows have fun! They take part in indoor and outdoor activities as part of their programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw. Their meetings are full of games and activities which provide challenging opportunities for Rainbows to think for themselves and take an active part in unit decision-making. Everything a Rainbow does helps her to develop - it's an opportunity to look, learn, laugh and love.
Beavers usually aged between 6 - 7 years. Beavers usually meet once a week at the Beaver Scout Colony and enjoy playing games as well as participating in other outdoor activities.
Cubs usually aged between 8 - 10.5 years. Cubs are able to try lots of different activities including exploring, playing music and a variety of sports and when they are done properly a badge can be awarded. This can be worn on the uniform. Cubs also enjoy organised trips away.
Brownies range from 7 - 10 years. Brownies have fun! They take part in indoor and outdoor activities that challenge them to do their best. Their meetings are action-packed and full of challenges, games and activities, usually ones that the Brownies have suggested themselves. Everything a Brownie does is an adventure - it's a world of excitement, new interests and friends..
Guides range from 10 - 14 years. Being a Guide is all about learning new skills, making new friends and helping others. Each Guide is encouraged to achieve her own personal goals through a progressive programme with the opportunity to work for a wide variety of badges. This allows the girl to mature and develop at her own pace.
Scouting offers a huge range of activities and events. Water activities give young people the opportunity to take to the water in a variety of challenging ways. Air activities in Scouting range from high adventure glider flights or parascending to kite making and visits to air fields. Land activities are a key part of the exciting -6-25 Programme. Young people are encouraged to try new activities and develop their current interests through activities ranging from archery to rock climbing. Nights away are always popular with young people. Scouting provides quality nights away events.
These organisations are run by volunteers and are always keen to take on new members. If you have special skills and want to help just visit their website on www.girlguiding.org.uk or email join.us@girlguiding.org.uk
